The meal plan above is said to be a fairly normal meal plan for the American. Often times we try to minimize the amount of meals we eat in a day because we are trying to lose weight. Often times this can work in the opposite effect when one is on a weight loss program. Instead, try the meal plan below:
Meal Plan 2: Breakfast at 8AM, Snack at 10:30AM, Lunch at 1PM, Snack at 4PM, Dinner at 7PM. Still 2200 calories but just spread more throughout the day.
By spreading out your meals and eating smaller meals in more frequency you naturally speed up your metabolism and can start losing weight. Since you are feeding your body all day long, it continues to burn and this will naturally increase your metabolism. If you've ever wondered how someone you know can just eat, and eat, and eat without ever getting fat then you now no. It's because they have a fast metabolism and there bodies digest food much quicker than people with slow metabolisms.
I wasn't born with a fast metabolism either, so don't worry. But by eating five or six smaller meals a day you will boost your metabolism and it can help you on your weight loss journey. It's a very simple concept but many diet programs and celebrities seem to leave it out of there programs.
